GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Utah golf team currently sits in 14th place at the Snowman Getaway at the Palm Valley Golf Club after the first and second rounds Monday. The Utes posted back-to-back 294s for a total of 588.
Senior Daniel Engle was the top-finishing Ute of the day after swinging 72 and 73 for a total of 145. He is currently tied for 34th place. Sophomore Jonathon Thomas was just one swing behind Engle at 146 after hitting identical 73s and is tied for 42nd.
Senior Ben Bankhead posted 74s to tie for 55th with a mark of 148, while sophomore Brent Pollock tallied a 150 (76-74) to tie for 65th. Wrapping up the Ute lineup was senior Casey Halliday, who is tied for 72nd with a mark of 151 (75-76).
Utah returns to the Palms Course at Palm Valley Golf Club Tuesday for the third and final round of the Snowman Getaway. Play will begin at 8 a.m. MT with a shotgun start. Live scoring will continue to be available at golfstat.com.
