GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Utah golf team wrapped up its spring opener Tuesday at the Snowman Invitational at the Palm Valley Golf Club. The Utes turned in their lowest team score during the third round to finish with a nine-over 873 (294-294-285).

Senior Daniel Engle and sophomore Jonathon Thomas lead the squad in the standings after posting an eagle and an albatross in the third round to tie for 27th. Senior Casey Halliday also swung his tournament-low in the final round to finish with a score of 222 (75-76-71) and place 61st. Senior Ben Bankhead and sophomore Brent Pollock round out the Ute roster, both tying for 69th with 225s.

The Utes return to action at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic in Chula Vista, Calif., March 10-11.
