TUCSON, Ariz. - The University of Utah men's golf team completed two rounds of the Arizona National Invitational Tournament and is currently in 12th place. Utah posted a mark of 312 in the first round, followed by a second-round score of 302 to finish 22 strokes over par for the day. Seniors Jeff Kitches led the Utes through the first day of the tournament with a score of 151 (79-72) that tied for 33rd place.

Fellow senior Derek Adams was not far behind Kitches. He wrapped up the day with a mark of 153 (76-77) to tie for 51st place. Freshman Ben Bankhead was the next to finish for the Utes with his score of 154 (79-75), that tied for 57th place. Senior Mike Branca tied for 87th place with a score of 161 (78-83). Chase Hite rounded out Utah's performance by swinging a 162 (84-78) to tie for 89th.

Utah will begin the final round of the Arizona National Invitational tomorrow with a shotgun start from the Omni Tucson National Golf Club at 8 a.m. PT.
