Albuquerque, N.M. - The University of Utah golf team sits in 10th after two rounds of play at the William H. Tucker Invitational with a team score of 600 (303-297) at the University of New Mexico Championship Course. The Utes improved from 11th place after round one.
Junior Casey Halliday currently sits in a top-10 position in the individual standings. Halliday is tied for ninth with a score of 144 (76-68). His second-round 68 marked his career-low by two shots. His previous career low of 70 came at the Mark Simpson Invitational earlier this week.
Redshirt freshman Jonathon Thomas made his season debut with a 151 (73-78), currently tied for 44th. Sophomore Gentry Hicks earned a two-round score of 152 (78-74), and is tied for 51st. Junior Daniel Engle is tied for 58th with a score of 153 (76-77). Senior Joe Webber sits in 82nd with a 163 (78-85).
The final round of the tournament will be played on Saturday beginning at 7:45 a.m. MT.
