SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah golf team prepares to wrap up its regular season in Santa Barbara, Calif., next week at the OGIO-Santa Barbara Intercollegiate The tournament, hosted by UCSB, will take place Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15. Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
The OGIO-Santa Barbara Intercollegiate will be held on the par-72, 7,068-yard Sandpiper Golf Course.
The 54-hole tournament will take place over two days. Thirty-six holes will be played Monday beginning with an 8:15 a.m. PT shotgun start. The final round of 18 holes will be played Tuesday, with tee times beginning at 7:30 a.m. on holes one and 10.
The Utes will be competing against nine other teams, including Air Force, Cal State Northridge, Fresno State, Long Beach State, Sacramento State, UC Irvine, host UCSB, UC Riverside, and Utah State.
Last Time at the OGIO-Santa Barbara Intercollegiate
Utah last participated in the tournament in 2005, when it was called the Pacific Intercollegiate and played at LaPurisima Golf Course in Lompoc, Calif. The squad finished in 17th place with a score of 916 and Ute Ashdon Woods lead with an eight-over 224 to tie for 24th.
Last Time Out
The Utes matched their best fall finish of 4th place last weekend at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz. Utah compiled a score of 849 while three Utes managed to finish in the top 20 of the standings.
