Sophomore Gentry Hicks will be competing for the second time this week with the Utes

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah golf team heads to Albuquerque, N.M. to compete in the 58th annual William H. Tucker Invitational, Sept. 28-29. The tournament will be played on the 7,562-yard, par-72 University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course.
The 54-hole tournament will begin Friday, when the first two rounds will be played. The final 18 holes will be completed on Saturday.
The Utes will take on 14 other teams at the event, including fellow Pac-12 Conference schools Arizona and Colorado, and the host Lobos. Defending champion UNLV, which won the 2011 tournament with a score of 867, is not scheduled to compete this year.
Last Time at the Tucker Invitational
The Utes finished 10th at the 2011 Invitational with a team score of 907 (304-301-302). Gentry Hicks, then a freshman, led the team with a mark of 223 (75-74-74) to tie for 24th in the individual standings.
