SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Manuel Calvo led Brigham Young to a sweep in the final day of the Utah Intercollegiate Tennis Tournament, Saturday.
Calvo won the singles title, defeating BYU teammate Damien Ward, 6-4, 6-4, and was also part of the winning doubles team. Calvo and Ward teamed up to beat Brad McIntosh and Jason Hardin, also of BYU, in the doubles. Host Utah won the consolation doubles competition on Friday, with Alex Buxton and Paul McPherson defeating Utah State's Sam Rideout and Tim Burrell, 8-1.
The Utes compete next week in the Rolex National Indoor Tournament in Las Vegas, Nev.
