This Week: Utah resumes it's west coast road trip this week playing four matches in five days. The Utes will take on Pac-10 power Southern California on Mar. 20. This is the second straight year that the Utes will play USC. Last year, the 16th ranked Trojans won 6-1. This year USC is ranked 10th in the nation and third in the Pac-10. Following Friday's match, the Utes will play Pepperdine followed by back-to-back matches on Monday and Tuesday versus San Diego and Dartmouth. Utah's match with San Diego will be it's fourth Western Athletic Conference match of the year. The Utes currently hold a record in the conference.

About the Utes: Last week, Utah resumed play after two weeks off. On Mar. 13, the Utes traveled to Las Vegas, Nev. to play a weekend series against UNLV and San Diego. Saturday's match against UNLV was won by the Rebels, 5-2. Alex Buxton and Adam Eke both won their singles matches earning Utah's two points. Saturday's match against San Diego was won by the Aztecs. Picking up the point for the Utes was No. 1 seeded Ben Coates who defeated Bobby Herdina, 2-6, 7-6, 6-1. The doubles duo of Coates and Rodrigue picked up an impressive win against UNLV's tandem of Morgan and Waske who is currently ranked 18th in the nation.

Utah in the Rankings: The Utes check into the poll this at No. 65 nationally. They also carry a No. 8 ranking in the Central Region.

Looking Ahead: Following Utah's five day stretch of games on the west coast, Utah will have two weeks off before their next match. On Apr. 11, Utah will rematch instate rival BYU. The Utes and the Cougars have already met once this year on Feb. 16. Utah defeated BYU by a score of 5-2.
