SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team (4-9) hosts Cornell (9-4) and New Mexico State (13-11). The Utes will see Cornell Tuesday at 12 p.m. and then New Mexico State Friday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be held at the Liberty Park Tennis Courts weather permitting. If the temperature drops below 50 degrees the matches will take place at the Eccles Tennis Center.

The Big Red will see Utah after having a week off. Cornell is on a three match winning streak defeating St. John's, St. Bonaventure and Stony Brook.

The last time Utah saw New Mexico State was March 2008 in Las Cruces, N.M. The Utes fell to the Aggies, 6-1, after sweeping them, 7-0, in 2007. The Aggies will see Utah State and Cornell before playing Utah on Friday.

Last weekend Utah hosted the University of San Diego. The Utes took an early lead capturing the doubles point sweeping the Toreros but came up short in singles. Senior Phillip Eilers earned Utah's second point in the match topping No. 100-ranked Nikola Bubnic, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4. The Utes fell to the Toreros, 5-2.

After this week Utah will be on the road with matches against three conference opponents, New Mexico, Air Force and TCU. They will finish up their road dual matches with UT Arlington. The Utes will return home to see UNLV April 16.
