Men's Tennis Travel to Tulsa for Next Competition

This Week: Utah (8-13) travels to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the Western Athletic Conference Championships. The tournament will be hosted by Tulsa and runs Wed., April 22 through Sat., April 25. Seeding for the dual match tournament will be finalized the evening of Tues., April 21.

About the Utes: The Utes dropped two matches on an Idaho road trip last weekend. Utah first fell to Idaho 5-2 on April 13. Adam Eke came away with the Utes' only win in singles, defeating Tad Kincaid 6-2, 6-3, at the No. 5 position. Utah's other team point came from Utes wins in two of three doubles matches. The Utes then took on Boise State on April 14 and lost 4-3 in a very tight match. Ben Coates, Phil Rodrigue and Ryan Snow won as the Utes and Broncos split the singles matches 3-3. Boise State won two of three doubles matches to capture the win.

Utah in the Rankings: The Utes dropped out of the national poll in the April 7 version of the ITA rankings. Coates and Rodrigue climbed into the doubles rankings at No. 49.
