SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team maintains a No. 64 ranking by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week after falling to now 62nd ranked UC Santa Barbara. Senior Zach Ganger dropped this week in the rankings from a 104th to 116th in the country.

Last week the Utes faced UC Santa Barbara for their home finale before heading into the Mountain West Conference Men's Tennis Tournament. The Utes earned the doubles point to start off the match, but in singles play, the team struggled. Utah's seniors Ganger and Miron Mann were the only two to pull out wins in singles play. UC Santa Barbara took the win 4-3 over Utah.

Ganger, a senior and native to Jacksonville, Fla., has eight straight singles and doubles wins under his belt with partner Mann. Last week, the Ute dominated Philip Therp from UC Santa Barbara to improve his season record to 26-8 in singles play. In doubles play, Ganger and Miron are 16-4 since starting dual matches in January. The Ute fell to No. 116 in the country despite his victory last weekend.
