SEATTLE - Senior forward Michelle Plouffe turned in her 15th double-double of the season, but the University of Utah women's basketball team lost to Oregon State, 50-35, in a Pac-12 Tournament Quarterfinal contest on Friday at KeyArena.

Utah (12-19) was led by Plouffe, who poured in 11 points and grabbed a game-high 16 rebounds for her 15th double-double of the season. She turned in double-figures in points in 27 of 29 contests she played in this season and recorded double-digits in boards for the 16th time this season.

Freshman forward Emily Potter joined Plouffe in double digits in points with 10 points to go with five rebounds. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native had 16 games with 10 or more points this season.

Sophomore point guard Danielle Rodriguez had six points with five rebounds, while handing out a game-high five assists. Freshman guard Malia Nawahine hit all four of her free throw attempts and chased down four rebounds.

OSU took six of the first eight points of the contest with Wilson lifting the lid on the scoring for the Utes. Utah missed seven of its first eight shots before a 15-foot jumper by Plouffe brought Utah within three, 7-4. The Beavers eventually extended to a 19-point lead (32-13) at halftime. Potter posted six points, while Plouffe grabbed seven rebounds in the first 20 minutes.

Utah began the second half on a 6-0 run as Potter found Wilson on a back cut for a lay-in, Rodriguez drove for a lay-in and Potter hit a jumper (32-19). Four straight free throws by Nawahine pulled the Utes within 13 (36-23). Unfortunately, Utah could not get any closer as OSU took a 50-35 victory.

Oregon State (22-9) was led by 21 points and five rebounds by Sydney Wiese.
