Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliot
On the win over Georgetown
"It's a nice win, that's a league that sent eight out of 12 teams to the NCAAs while we sat home, so we need to win games like that to show that our league is good."
"It was somewhat of a struggle. You saw that we missed a lot of shots in the first half that you can't miss. Our freshmen were freshman tonight. I thought they were pretty much in the ozone and that's okay. They have one under their belt and they will be better next time."
"I think that we got the ball to the post, that's where we can play well. We thought their bigs couldn't stop us. That is what happened and we pounded it in. We had some good options, Camie had her best game of the year. She came in after Jess (Perry) struggled a bit and Marie (Warner) gives us that option to go small. Our freshmen and sophomores have given us a little depth."
On Kim Smith's performance
"She is such a workhorse and she did a lot of other things tonight. She didn't really shoot the ball as much, keeping the ball alive on the boards, D'ing up somebody, coming up with that big rebound and keeping it alive. She just adds so much to the game and contributes in so many ways."
On the upcoming Hawaii Tournament and Michigan State
"Those Hawaii tournaments are just loaded with top 25 teams and this isn't any different. Michigan State is a great team, they have five starters back, so they are very much a top team in the country this year and will be very successful this year."
