SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team faces conference rival Colorado twice this week, with the Utes playing the Buffaloes in Boulder on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 6:00 p.m. MT, while CU travels to Utah on Sunday, Jan. 13, for a contest at 3:00 p.m. MT.

Both games will be aired on the Pac-12 Networks.

Tuesday's game is a quick turnaround for the Utes after playing a pair of tough contests against top-10 teams California and Stanford over the weekend.

"I'm really pleased with our effort, and I think our kids are happy with their effort," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said. "We proved to ourselves that we can play with those teams, but moral victories don't show up in the win/loss column. We have to figure out a way to turn those efforts into wins."

Colorado is 11-2 on the year with its first losses of the season coming this past weekend to Stanford and California. The Buffaloes are led by Arielle Roberson's 14.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, while all-Pac-12 player Chucky Jeffery is averaging 12.7 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Utah holds an 11-9 all-time lead in the series against Colorado. The teams played three times last year, splitting two regular season games with Colorado defeating Utah in the Pac-12 tournament. Before last year the two teams had not played since 1995.

"In situations like this you have to really find how Colorado scores and try to break those things down and take those things away, and then rely on your base defense to handle the rest," Levrets said.
