SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team continues on the road this weekend in Southern California, playing USC on Feb. 1 at 7:00 p.m. PT and taking on 18th-ranked UCLA on Sunday, Feb. 3 at 12:30 p.m. PT.

USC and UCLA are two of four conference teams that the Utes play just once this season. Utah will only play one game against Washington and Washington State as well.

"We are proud of how hard team has been playing," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said. "I feel like our young players are getting better all the time and we are looking forward to another big challenge of going on the road and playing some really good teams."

USC is 8-11 overall and 5-3 in the Pac-12. The Trojans are coming off a 1-1 weekend, falling to Arizona State 60-53 on Friday before defeating Arizona, 74-57 on Sunday.

USC holds a 5-4 advantage in the all-time series between the two teams. Utah won the one meeting last year between the teams, 63-55 in Salt Lake City.

UCLA is ranked 18th in the latest Associated Press poll, making the Bruins the seventh ranked team that the Utes have faced this season. UCLA is 15-4 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-12. The Bruins only Pac-12 losses were against Stanford and Cal.

UCLA and Utah are tied at 3-3 in the all-time series, with the Bruins pulling out a narrow 65-60 win last season in Salt Lake City.

After a difficult weekend against two top-10 teams and a tiring travel schedule due to weather, the Utes will take Monday and Tuesday off before returning to practice on Wednesday.

"It's easy to forget that these kids are student-athletes, and with all these crazy schedules it's not only difficult in the gym for games, but it's hard academically," Levrets said. "We'll give them an opportunity to be students for two days, and hopefully they recover their legs and make sure they are caught up in their classes before we have to turn around and go on the road again."
