SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team takes to the road this weekend to play Oregon and Oregon State. The Oregon teams are the only remaining schools Utah has not played yet in the Pac-12 this season. The Utes start the road trip against Oregon on Feb. 2.

The game marks a homecoming for Utah head coach Anthony Levrets, who was born in Eugene, Ore., and raised in Bandon. The Utes also have three Oregon players on their roster - senior Janita Badon (Portland), sophomore Allison Gida (Ashland) and sophomore Brittany Knighton (Oregon City).

"Oregon and Oregon State are both quality basketball teams," Levrets said. "They are a little different than what we've seen over the last couple of weeks. Both teams play a high-frequency of zone defense, so it will be a little bit different. This league is all about different challenges every night. We're looking forward to our first trip to the northwest."

Utah went 1-1 last week. After a heartbreaking loss against UCLA on Thursday, the Utes rallied back to defeat USC on Saturday.

Oregon is 11-10 overall and 3-6 in the Pac-12. The Ducks have dropped three of their last four games in conference play, including a 67-60 setback at Oregon State on Saturday. Oregon ranks second in the league in scoring offense (75.7) while ranking 12th in scoring defense (77.4). The Ducks leads the league in steals (11.1) and three-pointers (7.8).

Oregon holds the all-time series lead, 9-5. However, the Utes have won the past two games, a home-and-home series in 2008 and 2009. The last game was an 89-86 overtime Utah win in Salt Lake City in 2009.

The Utes have several Oregon ties on their staff. Willette White and Velaida Harris both spent time as coaches at Oregon.

Oregon State is 13-7 on the season and 4-5 in the Pac-12. The Beavers have won three of their last five games, including two-straight against USC and Oregon. OSU ranks second in the league in field-goal percentage (.434).

Oregon State leads the all-time series against Utah, 7-5, but Utah has won three of the past four. The last meeting was a 62-53 Utah win in Salt Lake City in 2005.
