Monnday's game at Oregon State will be televised live on Pac-12 Networks with Ann Schatz (PBP) and Tammy Blackburn (Analyst) covering the contest from Corvallis.
The University of Utah women's basketball team concludes a three-game road trip with a pair of games at Oregon and Oregon State this weekend.
The Utes face the Ducks on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 2 p.m. PT in Eugene, Ore., before taking on the Beavers Monday at 6 p.m. PT.
Utah is 10-11 overall through 21 games and the Utes are 3-7 in league play. After a 61-45 setback on Feb. 2 at Colorado, Utah holds a 3-4 mark in true road contests.
Oregon holds a 12-9 record overall and the Ducks are 3-7 in Pac-12 play. UO has won three of its last four games, but lost its most recent contest, a 97-94 decision at Arizona State on Feb. 2 in Tempe. The Ducks are 10-2 at home in 2013-14 with a 2-1 mark against conference foes.
Oregon State is 13-9 overall and 5-5 in league play. The Beavers have won three of their last four as well, most recently taking a 64-50 over Arizona on Feb. 2 in Tucson. The Beavers are 8-1 in Gill Coliseum this season with its only loss to No. 2 Notre Dame on Dec. 29 (70-58).
Colorado Home-and-Home Recap: Utah took a 58-55 win over Colorado on Jan. 29 in Salt Lake City and the Utes had two players in double figures. The Buffaloes returned the favor with a 61-45 victory on Feb. 2 in Boulder.
Plouffe's Prowess: Senior forward Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, Alberta) led with 10.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game last week in its home-and-home series against Colorado. During the Jan. 29 58-55 win over Colorado in Salt Lake City, Plouffe scored a team-high 14 points on the night and also gathered a team-high eight rebounds, handed out a pair of assists and came up with a block. She now has 17 double-figure-point games in 18 outings this season. On Feb. 2 in Boulder, Plouffe scored seven points, corralled four rebounds and came up with a game-high three steals.
Plouffe's Record Book Update: With 21 points during last week's home-and-home with Colorado, Plouffe now has 1,896 career points for the Utes and recently moved past Morgan Warburton (1,886 from 2005-09) for fifth place in school history. She is now 68 points away from tying Kalee Whipple (1,964 from 2006-10) for fourth on the list.
Plouffe has 1,057 career rebounds and recently passed Deb Asper (1,042 from 1980-84) for second on the school's all-time list Jan. 26 versus Arizona. Plouffe is now 50 rebounds away from passing Anne Handy (1,106 from 1981-85) for the school record.
Raving About Rodriguez: Sophomore guard Danielle Rodriguez (Downey, Calif.) handed out a team-high 3.5 assists per game in the pair of games last week against Colorado and tied for second on the squad with 10.0 points per game against the Buffaloes.
Rodriguez turned in an 11-point performance on Feb. 2 at Colorado, which was her 12th double-digit-point game of the season. Rodriguez connected on three of her first five field goal attempts Jan. 29 against Colorado and ended with nine points after a 4-for-7 shooting performance.
Rodriguez is third in the Pac-12 (106th in NCAA) with 4.3 assists per game this season and ranks fifth (74th in NCAA) in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9, 90-48). She is also fifth in the Pac-12 in minutes played (36.3 mpg). In league games only, Rodriguez is sixth in minutes (36.8 mpg), eighth in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.4, 31-22) and ninth in assists (3.1 apg).
