SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team closes out the regular season on the road against Oregon State on Friday, March 1 at 7:00 p.m. PT, followed by Oregon on Sunday, March 3, at 2:00 p.m. PT.
Utah (16-11, 7-9 Pac-12) swept the Washington schools over the weekend. The Utes have won five of their last six and six of their last eight games.
This will be the second time that the Utes have played the Oregon schools this season. Utah defeated both teams on its home court earlier this year.
"We were successful against both teams at home, but both teams are significantly better in their own buildings," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said. "We are going to have our hands full. We have to execute on both ends of the floor, and everyone has to contribute. Most importantly, you have to compete for every little thing you can get. Hopefully we can have our best performances of the year because that's what it's going to take to win both of these ball games."
Several of Utah's players and coaches, including Levrets, are from the Northwest.
"It's always great to get to go back home to play against the programs that you grew up watching," Levrets said. "Every game is special, but to go back to Corvallis and Eugene for the kids is a cool thing."
Oregon State is 9-19 on the season, 3-13 in the Pac-12. The Beavers have dropped their last 10 games, including a tough 58-56 loss to Cal on Sunday in which OSU held as much as a 17-point lead.
Utah won the first game between the two teams in Salt Lake City on Feb. 10, 66-40. The Utes are 7-8 all-time against Oregon State.
Oregon is 4-24 on the year and 2-14 in the Pac-12. Utah defeated the Ducks, 67-47, in their first meeting this season on Feb. 8. The Utes are 7-10 all-time against Oregon.
