WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Utah junior forward Michelle Plouffe leads three Utes who earned All-Pac-12 honors, announced today by the conference after a vote of the league's 12 head coaches.
Plouffe was named to the All-Pac-12 team, and was an honorable mention pick on the All-Defensive team. Senior guard Iwalani Rodrigues and junior forward Taryn Wicijowski each earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
Plouffe was also named to the Media All-Pac-12 team.
Plouffe is fourth in the Pac-12 in scoring (16.7) and sixth in rebounding (8.3). She ranks in the top 10 in 10 categories in the Pac-12 statistics, including ranking fifth in the conference in blocks (1.3). Plouffe has seven double-doubles and six 20-point games this year. She has 1,415 career points and needs just 17 points to reach the top 10 all-time in scoring at Utah.
Rodrigues is third in the conference in three-point field goal percentage (3.65) and fourth in minutes played (35.4). She is second on the team with a 2.72 assists per game and is averaging 12.3 points per game. Rodrigues is fourth all-time at Utah in career three-point field goals made (209).
Wicijowski is third in the Pac-12 and 24th in the NCAA with a .532 field goal percentage. She is eighth in the conference in scoring (14.3) and 10th in offensive rebounds (2.5). Wicijowski is second on the team with 25 blocks and is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game.
Plouffe was an All-Pac-12 honorable mention pick last season, while Wicijowski was named to the All-Pac-12 team last year.
Utah (17-12, 8-10 Pac-12) opens the Pac-12 Tournament against Arizona on Thursday, March 7, at 2:30 p.m. PT.
