WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Utah women's basketball player Taryn Wicijowski was selected to the All-Pac-12 team as chosen by the league's 12 head coaches, it was announced on Tuesday. In addition, Michelle Plouffe was an honorable mention all-Pac-12 selection while Janita Badon was an honorable mention All-Defensive team pick.
Wicijowski ranks fifth in the Pac-12 in rebounding. (8.7). She was the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year and a second-team All-MWC player two years ago before redshirting due to injury last season.
Plouffe ranks seventh in the conference in rebounding (7.9) and ninth in scoring (14.2). She was last season's MWC Freshman of the Year and a second-team all-MWC pick.
Badon, a four-year player at point guard, leads the Pac-12 and ranks 20th in the nation in assists (5.5). She was an All-Defensive team pick in the MWC last year, in addition to earning honorable mention all-MWC honors.
Plouffe and Wicijowski were also selected to the media's All-Pac-12 team.
Utah opens the Pac-12 Tournament on Wednesday, March 7, against Colorado at 5:00 p.m. PT.
