The Utah women's basketball program has announced an adjustment to its season ticket policy in an effort to ensure a family-friendly atmosphere for both kids and adults.

Based on the ticketing policy that all kids 12 & under receive free admission, all current and new season ticket holders have the option to reserve seats for their children 12 & under next to their reserved seats. The policy change requires all season tickets holders with kids 12 & under to call the Utah ticket office to reserve seats for their children by calling 801-581-UTIX (8849). Children with reserved seats will receive season tickets based on requests received from the ticket office.

"Our program has always prided ourselves in being one of the most family-friendly game experiences in Salt Lake," said head coach Anthony Levrets. "This ticketing policy will allow families with small children the opportunity to experience our team together without the hassle of finding available general admission seats."

In addition to the new ticketing policies for kids 12 & under, the program has implemented a unique experience for youth basketball players in the community with the Utah Women's Basketball "Team of the Game." Youth basketball teams in the community will have the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look of the program at every home game throughout the 2012-13 season. "Team of the Game" incentives include: • Complimentary admission for youth players and coaches • Discounted single-game tickets for family members • Pre-game pizza party • Welcome the Utes on the court during starting lineups • Video board recognition • Halftime scrimmage on the court • Post-game meeting with Utah coaches and student-athletes

Youth teams can sign up for this opportunity by calling the marketing office at 801-585-6779.

In conjunction with the new youth-based initiatives, the program will continue a number of kids' activities that include youth expos planned for both January 4th and January 18th, Swoop's Nest Kids' Zone seating for every Friday night Pac-12 home game and access to the court for kids and families following every game with the opportunity to receive autographs from select student-athletes from the team.
