SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team hosts Northern Colorado on Tuesday, Nov. 20, at 7:00 p.m. MT. Radio is available at ESPN 700 AM or www.espn700sports.com.

Utah is coming off a 59-40 win against Michigan, in which the Utes jumped out to a 15-0 lead en route to the victory. The Wolverines 40 points is the lowest output by an opponent against a Pac-12 team this season.

"Obviously we were very excited about our performance and how we played against Michigan," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said. "Hopefully it will provide us with some momentum as we move forward in the preseason, but we have to understand that it's just one win, and we're not anywhere near done getting better. The good news is that we played really well, and that we can continue to get better."

The Utes start the year 3-0 for the first time since the 2000-01 season. Utah started the season 11-0 that year and reached the Sweet 16.

Utah is second in the Pac-12 in scoring defense (53.7), three-point field goal percentage (.345) and assist/turnover ratio (1.4).

Northern Colorado is 1-1 on the season with a win over Air Force and a loss to Colorado State. D'shara Strange is averaging 17.5 points per game through the Bears first two contests. Victoria Timm has a team-best eight rebounds per game.

Northern Colorado went 20-12 last year with an appearance in the WNIT.

UNC head coach Jaime White, who is in her seventh year, was an assistant coach at Utah from 2001-03.

Utah is 6-0 all-time against Northern Colorado. The last meeting was in 2005, a 85-35 win. The previous five meetings all occurred in the 1970's.
