A Brief Look at the Series
A familiar opponent, Weber State and Utah will tangle on the hardwood for the 46th time in history on Friday. Utah has won four straight in the series, and that includes a 77-43 win in Ogden in November of last year. The last time these two rivals battled in Salt Lake City (Dec. 7, 2005), Utah nabbed the 65-38 win. The last WSU win in the series was a 70-59 victory in Ogden on Jan. 4, 2003. WSU's last win in Salt Lake City was Dec. 22, 1994, 61-59. The Utes have played eight of the nine current Big Sky members in their history, going 114-18 against them all-time. Weber State is Utah's first and only Big Sky opponent this year. Utah's last BSC opponent was Montana in first round of the WNIT on March 14, 2007. Utah won, 78-70.
