The No. 8-ranked Utah gymnastics team (3-1) goes to Tucson, Ariz., this week for a Friday, Jan. 25 competition against No. 13 Arizona (6-3). The meet starts at 7 p.m. MST. Live scores and commentary can be found at UtahUtes.com. There is also Live Video
Ute sophomore Kassandra Lopez
is from Tucson, where she attended Amphitheater High School and trained at Tumbleweeds Gymnastics Club. Lopez competed on bars last week, scoring a 9.775, after missing the first meet with a calf injury. She was scheduled to go all-around prior to the injury ... Getting her first college start last week was freshman Taylor Allex
. Allex, who was missed most of the preseason with a back injury, scored a 9.80 on vault ... Georgia Dabritz
has been Utah's top all-around finisher in both meets, placing second at UCLA and first in Utah's home opener last weekend.
Utah is tied for fourth in the nation on the beam (49.100 average), despite replacing four starters from last year's NCAA Championships' lineup. The Utes rank fourth on vault (49.263) and fifth on floor (49.188) this week (see page 3 for complete rankings) ... Utah is 51-0 against the Wildcats in a series that began in 1976. However, since 2003, the two teams have met just three times (2004 and 2008 NCAA Regionals and 2012 Pac-12 Championships). With Utah joining the Pac-12, the dual meet competition with Arizona has resumed ... The 14,917 in attendance at last Saturday's home meet was the second-largest crowd for a home opener in school history and the largest home-opening crowd since 1992.
The Utes are 0-1 on the road (losing at UCLA on Jan. 12) and 0-1 in Pac-12 play. Utah's win over Oregon State last week was not a conference meet ... Georgia Dabritz

Utah jumped seven places and back into the top 10 this week, checking in at No. 8. Utah's 196.950--the fifth-best score in the nation this season--boosted its season average to 196.125. Georgia Dabritz
is ranked fifth in the all-around (39.463 average), and is tied for fifth on bars (9.888) and eighth on beam (9.888). Tory Wilson
is tied for fourth on vault (9.925) and Corrie Lothrop

(39.525) won the all-around and three individual titles, Utah went 24-of-24 on hit routines and the Utes scored a 196.950 in a win over Oregon State (195.950), West Virginia (192.125) and Southern Utah (191.050). Dabritz, who earned victories on bars (9.90), beam (9.90) and floor (9.875), tied teammates Nansy Damianova
and Corrie Lothrop
on the latter. Picking up her second vault win in as many meets was Tory Wilson
(9.95). The 13th-largest crowd in school history (14,917) turned out for the meet, which Utah led from start to finish.
Utah is 51-0 against Arizona and 10-0 in Tucson. Just 17 of their 51 previous meetings came in the regular season. Utah leads the Wildcats 17-0 in regular season play and 34-0 in postseason competition (1-0 at the Pac-12 Championships, 22-0 at regionals and 11-0 at nationals). Utah and UA last met at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships, where Utah placed second and Arizona was fifth. See page 2 for complete series scores.

Season-high 195.85 on Jan. 12 ... scored a 195.80 last week to win a quad meet at Texas Woman's College, beating BYU, TWC and Wisconsin-Whitewater ... top all-arounders are Aubree Cristello (39.475) and Allison Flores (39.075) ... Cristello has won all three all-around competitions this season and is ranked 10th nationally in the all-around.
