The No. 4-ranked Utah gymnastics team (5-0, 2-0 Pac-12) has a road meet at No. 19 Arizona State (5-1, 2-0 Pac-12) on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1:00 p.m. MT. Utah coach Greg Marsden, in his 39th season, is one victory away from becoming the sport's first 1,000-win coach. After last week's win over UCLA (his 300th against Pac-12 teams), he moved his career mark to 999-199-7. The only coach in Utah gymnastics history, Marsden has led the Utes into the national championships every year of his tenure, which began in the 1976 season. Marsden is 300-54-4 all-time against Pac-12 schools.


Utah coach Greg Marsden and Arizona State coach John Spini are meeting for the last time in dual meet competition. Spini, in his 34th-year at the helm of the Sun Devil gymnastics program and the longest tenured coach in ASU history, has announced he will retire following this season. Marsden, in his 39th season at Utah, is the dean of the women's college gymnastics coaches. Here are the four active head coaches with the most years in the sport:

Utah and ASU have met one common opponent this season. The Utes beat California in Berkeley on Jan. 17, 196.875-196.275 and ASU beat the Bears in Tempe last Saturday, 196.000 to 195.350 ... Kassandra Lopez, the only Arizona native on Utah's roster, is out for the season after tearing her Achilles in pre-meet warm-ups on Jan. 11. Lopez, from Tucson, will make the trip to Tempe with the Utes this week ... Utah is 65-16-1 all-time against ASU and 13-8-1 in Tempe. See Series Shorts for more ... Utah is averaging 14,696 fans to its first two home meets with a season-high of 14,910 for the opener and 14,483 against UCLA last week. Utah set a record for season tickets this year, topping 7,000 for the first time.


Utah is ranked fourth in the nation for the third-straight week (tied with Michigan) and is No. 1 on vault (49.508 season average), No. 2 on floor (49.392) and No. 5 on bars (49.242). Georgia Dabritz is ranked in the top five on all three events she competes. She is No. 1 on bars (9.933 average), tied for No. 2 on vault with teammate Kailah Delaney (9.925) and tied for No. 5 on floor (9.933). See page 3 for complete ranking information.


Georgia Dabritz is the only gymnast in the nation ranked in the top five on three events. Dabritz is No. 1 this week on bars, tied for No. 2 (with Kailah Delaney) on vault and tied for fifth on floor. Dabritz, a 2013 first-team All-America all-arounder, has not yet broken into the beam lineup. She has won seven of her nine routines to date, including all three bar competitions ... Mary Beth Lofgren replaced Lia Del Priore on vault against UCLA and scored a career-high 9.90 ... Utah has the country's highest vault score this season--a 49.60 vs. UCLA--and its 49.525 on bars against UCLA is the second-best bar score in the nation to date ...There are a school-record nine All-Americans on Utah's roster.


Georgia Dabritz has won multiple events in all three meets, earning two victories in the first two meets and winning all three of her events against UCLA ... Utah has four vaulters ranked in the top 15 this week: Dabritz and Kailah Delaney at No. 2, Tory Wilson at No. 6 and Mary Beth Lofgren at No. 13 ... Wilson, Utah's only all-arounder, won the all-around in the first two meets ... Ute winners: Dabritz (7), Wilson (4), Nansy Damianova (1), Kailah Delaney (1) and Corrie Lothrop (1) ... The Utes have completed 66-72 routines without a fall. Gymnasts without a fall are Dabritz (9-9), Delaney (7-7), Lia Del Priore (4-4), Becky Tutka (6-6), Breanna Hughes (6-6) and Hailee Hansen (3-3).
