THIS WEEK IN UTAH GYMNASTICS
No. 4 Utah (4-1) hosts Utah State (1-7) on Friday, Feb. 12. The meet starts at 7 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. In honor of Valentine's Day, this Friday's meet is billed as the "Sweetheart" promotion (buy one, get one free). Heart-shaped U suckers will be distributed to fans at every entrance. Live scores and video will be hosted on www.utahutes.com.
Friday's meet in the Huntsman Center breaks up a long stretch that has the Utes on the road for four of five weeks. Utah opened the road-heavy portion of its schedule with a win over Washington on Jan. 29. Last week, the Utes beat Arizona State in Tempe. After this Friday's home meet, the Utes go to Michigan (Feb. 19) and Brigham Young (Feb. 26), before returning to the JHC for a home meet against Nebraska on Mar. 5.

Utah produced its best road score of the season in a 196.475-195.700 victory over Arizona State. Daria Bijak
scored a 39.40 to win her third-straight all-around title and also won bars with a 9.90. Annie DiLuzio
was also a double-winner, taking beam with a 9.875 and tying for first on floor with a 9.875. Kyndal Robarts
won vault (9.925). Several Utes set season or career highs, including a 39.175 all-around effort by Stephanie McAllister
and DiLuzio's 9.875 on beam.
Utah leads the series with USU 84-3. The Aggies have never won in Salt Lake City, where the Utes are 36-0. Utah has won 82 straight contests against the Aggies, dating back to 1979. Utah's last loss to USU was on Jan. 26, 1979 in Tucson, Ariz.
