Up next up for the No. 4-ranked Utah gymnastics team (7-0, 4-0 Pac-12) is a Presidents' Day showdown at No. 10 Stanford (11-1, 3-1 Pac-12) in Maples Pavilion on Monday, Jan. 17 at 2 p.m. PT. The meet will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks, starting at 3 p.m. Mountain Time. Official live scores will be available on www.gostanford.com and live scores and commentary will be on www.utahutes.com.


In a rare scheduling quirk, the Utes will take the weekend off and then have two meets in a week--Stanford on Monday, Feb. 17 in Stanford, Calif., and Oregon State in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Feb. 22. Both meets will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks.


Utah is off to a 7-0 start for the first time since its NCAA runner-up season in 2008. The 2008 Utes won their first 10 meets before losing at Florida for their only regular season loss ... Utah's 197.825 score against Arizona last week is the third-best score in the country this year and Utah's 10th-best score ever ... While Utah and Stanford have met 26 times in their history (Utah leads 21-5), they have competed just once at Stanford--a Cardinal victory back in 1998. The Utes have never competed in Maples Pavilion. See Series Shorts for more ... The Utes are averaging 14,135 fans a meet in the Huntsman Center this year with a season-high 14,910 for the season-opening quad meet.


Utah is ranked No. 4 in the nation for the fifth-straight week and is No. 1 on both vault (49.495 season average) and floor (49.430). Utah is No. 4 on bars (49.280) and No. 12 on beam (48.930). Junior Georgia Dabritz, the 2013 NCAA uneven bar runner-up, is ranked No. 1 on bars and No. 2 on floor. She is one of three Utes ranked in the top five on vault: Junior Tory Wilson is No. 2, junior Kailah Delaney is No. 4 and Dabritz is tied for No. 5. Wilson is ranked No. 11 in the all-around. See page 3 for complete Utah rankings. Next week is the last time the rankings will be based on season average. Beginning Feb. 24, the rankings will move to regional qualifying score (RQS).


Georgia Dabritz has been victorious in 11 of the 15 routines she has competed ... Dabritz won the first four Pac-12 Specialist of the Week awards this season and is Utah's nominee again after her two-win performance against No. 13 Arizona ... Wilson, Utah's only all-arounder, has four all-around wins in the first five meets. She was the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 4 ... Ute winners: Dabritz (11), Wilson (7), Kailah Delaney (2), Corrie Lothrop (2), Nansy Damianova (1) and Mary Beth Lofgren (1) ... The Utes have completed 111-120 routines without a fall. Gymnasts who have hit every routine are Dabritz (15-15), Becky Tutka (10-10), Lia Del Priore (6-6) and Hailee Hansen (5-5).


Freshman Baely Rowe impressed in her first shot at the crucial leadoff position on the balance beam. Rowe scored a 9.775 against Arizona last week as first up ... Georgia Dabritz, a 2013 first-team All-America all-arounder, scored a 9.825 in exhibition on beam last week against Arizona. Dabritz has yet to crack the beam lineup this season.


Utah leads the series with Stanford 21-5 and has a two-meet win streak after beating the Cardinal last year in Salt Lake City and at the Pac-12 Championships in Corvallis ... Stanford's last win was in the 2012 NCAA Super Six, when the Cardinal finished fourth and Utah fifth. The Utes beat the Cardinal in the 2012 NCAA semis before losing in the finals ... Utah is 0-1 at Stanford (in 1998) and 8-2 in regular season competition ... For complete series results, see page 2.

Notes: Only loss was to then No. 15 Oregon State (197.100-195.750) in Corvallis on Feb. 3 ... scored 196.825 in road win over Washington (196.200) last week for head coach Kristen Smyth's 200th career win. Smyth is 200-54-1 in 13 seasons at Stanford ... best non-conference win was an upset over Georgia, 196.325-196.150 on Jan. 12 ... the Utah meet is one of three Monday meets this season for Stanford ... all-arounders are junior Kristina Vaculik (39.600 best) and sophomore Taylor Rice (39.325).


The first 1,000-win coach in NCAA gymnastics history, Greg Marsden is 1,001-199-7 in a 39-year career spent entirely at Utah. He has won 10 national championships, which is tied for the most in the country. He has a regular season record of 471-78-3. Megan Marsden, in her fifth year as the co-head coach (30th year overall), has an 85-38-1 career record.
