The No. 6 ranked Utah gymnasts (6-1, 3-1 Pac-12) travel to Seattle this week for a Friday, Feb. 15 meet against No. 23 Washington (6-6, 3-2 Pac-12). The meet starts at 7 p.m. PT (8 p.m. MT) in the Alaska Airlines Arena. The meet will be televised tape-delayed on the Pac-12 Networks, airing Sunday, Feb. 17 at 11 a.m. MT. Because the meet is being televised, there will be no live video stream. Live stats and commentary will be provided on UtahUtes.com.


Sophomore Tory Wilson, the nation's top ranked vaulter, made the ESPN Top 10 plays of the day on Feb. 9 after scoring a 10.0 on vault. Watch Wilson's 10.0 on ESPN. Wilson's perfect score marked the first 10.0 by a Ute since Ashley Postell had three in 2008 (two on vault and one on beam). Hers was the 12th perfect 10.0 in school history and she becomes the seventh Ute to score a 10.0 on vault. Others were Missy Marlowe (1992), Kristen Kenoyer (3 in 1993), Suzanne Metz (1995), Annabeth Eberle (3 in 2004), Rachel Tidd (2004) and Ashley Postell (2 in 2008).


Bellevue, Wash., native Haley Lange (Sammamish HS) is expected to compete in exhibition on the vault and beam in Friday's meet. The freshman has competed in exhibition on both events in the last three meets ... Kassandra Lopez, who missed the first meet and could compete only on bars for the next three meets with a calf injury, returned on beam last week and scored a 9.80. Lopez replaced Corrie Lothrop, the defending Pac-12 all-around champion who is lost for the season after tearing her Achilles in a meet against Arizona State on Feb. 1 ... Utah is averaging 14,485 fans a meet at home and all three home meets have drawn in excess of 14,000 (14,917, 14,410, 14,129), giving Utah 25 all-time crowds of 14,000 or more.


Sophomore All-American Tory Wilson is the nation's top ranked vaulter for the second straight week with a 9.955 season average. Wilson has won the vault in all five meets, scoring a 10.0 last week against California and a 9.975 on Feb. 1 vs. Arizona State ... Wilson has been honored for the Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week twice this season (Jan. 19 and Feb. 5) ... The Utes are 5-0 at home in three meets (the first was a quad meet) and 1-1 on the road ... While the Utes have beaten four Pac-12 schools (Oregon State, Arizona, ASU and California), their league record is 3-1 since the OSU win came in a non-conference meet. Utah's loss was at UCLA ... Ute individual winners: Georgia Dabritz (9), Wilson (6), Corrie Lothrop (3), Nansy Damianova (2), Becky Tutka (2) and Mary Beth Lofgren (1) ... Utes have won or tied for every individual event and all-around title in the last four meets ... The Utes have hit 112-120 routines. Gymnasts without a fall are Lothrop (15-15), Breanna Hughes (10-10), Tutka (10-10) and Lia Del Priore (7-7).


With junior all-arounder Corrie Lothrop lost for the season, Utah has been forced to fill four openings in the lineup. Replacements and their scores last week follow: Mary Beth Lofgren on vault (9.875), Tory Wilson on bars (9.825), Kassandra Lopez on beam (9.80) and Lia Del Priore on floor (9.75) ... Sophomore Wilson took first place in her all-around debut last week, scoring a 39.475. She had never before competed to count on bars as a Ute and had performed just one exhibition routine on the event ... Utah has lost two All-Americans to injury: Junior five-time All-American and 2012 Pac-12 all-around champion Lothrop (Achilles surgery) is lost for the season. Doubtful to compete this year after preseason knee surgery is sophomore vault All-American Kailah Delaney.


Following its best score of the season--a 197.050 in a win over Cal last Saturday--Utah has moved up to sixth in the national rankings, its best mark since a No. 5 preseason ranking. Tory Wilson leads the nation on vault (9.955 season average) and is ranked fifth in the all-around (39.475 average). Also in the top 10 is sophomore Becky Tutka, who is ranked ninth on floor (9.890 average). See page 3 for complete rankings.


The determined crowd of 14,129 that braved a severe winter storm to come to the Utah gymnastics meet was rewarded with best meet of the season as the Utes annihilated No. 23 California 197.050-192.750. Sophomore Tory Wilson electrified the audience in her first career all-around appearance, scoring a 10.0 on vault and winning the all-around with a 39.475. Utah swept the individual honors. In addition to Wilson's wins, Georgia Dabritz took first on beam (9.90) and floor (9.975), and Nansy Damianova won bars (9.875). Utah's scores on vault (49.40) and floor (49.575) were its best this season.

They last met at the 2012 Pac-12 Championships in Salt Lake City, where Utah took second and Washington placed seventh ... The Utes hold a 12-0-1 lead in Seattle.
