The No. 7 Utah gymnasts (9-1-1, 4-1-1 Pac-12) face cross country rival and No. 8-ranked Georgia (6-6-1, 4-2-1 SEC) on Saturday, Mar. 9 in Athens, Ga. The meet starts at 6 p.m. EST (4 p.m. MST) in Stegeman Coliseum. Live video (with a paid subscription) is available at georgiadogs.com. Live scores and commentary can be found on UtahUtes.com.


This is one of the country's best non-conference gymnastics rivalries (Georgia leads the all-time series 24-22-1), with both teams claiming 10 national championships ... Utah leads the nation with 18 NCAA Super Six appearances (tied with Alabama), while Georgia ranks second with 17 trips to the finals ... Utah has a three-meet win streak going against Georgia, winning regular season competitions in 2010, 2011 and 2012. The teams have not met in the postseason since 2009 ... For the second-straight week the Utes will face an opponent celebrating its "senior night" ... Georgia is the first of two Southeastern Conference foes awaiting the Utes. In the regular season finale on Mar. 16, Utah will play host to No. 1 Florida starting at 6 p.m. in the Huntsman Center. Intros for the Utah-Florida meet will start at 5:45 p.m. to accommodate a live national television broadcast on the Pac-12 Networks ... The Utes are averaging 14,203 fans a meet at home with three crowds in excess of 14,000 (14,917, 14,410, 14,129), giving Utah 25 all-time crowds of 14,000 or more.


Sophomore All-American Tory Wilson is the nation's top ranked vaulter for the fifth straight week and has a regional qualifying score (RQS) of 9.955. Wilson is undefeated (8-0) on the vault this season and scored a career-high 10.0 against California on Feb. 9 ... The Utes have won six Pac-12 weekly awards, which are announced on Tuesdays: Georgia Dabritz was the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 22 and the Specialist of the Week on Feb. 12, Wilson was the Specialist of the Week on Jan. 22, Feb. 5 and Feb. 19 and Lia Del Priore was the Specialist of the Week on Feb. 26 ... Ute individual winners are Dabritz (12), Wilson (12), Corrie Lothrop (3), Becky Tutka (3), Nansy Damianova (2), Mary Beth Lofgren (2) and Lia Del Priore (1) ... The Utes have completed 181-of-192 routines without a fall. Gymnasts without a fall are Lothrop (15-15), Breanna Hughes (16-16), Tutka (16-16), Priore (13-13) and Kassandra Lopez (11-11).


A Ute has captured the uneven bar title in the last seven meets with Georgia Dabritz picking up six wins and Nansy Damianova one. The only meet in which a Ute did not win the bar competition was in the opener at UCLA (Dabritz was the high Ute finisher in third) ... Utah has two 10.0 scores this year: Tory Wilson on vault vs. Cal and Lia Del Priore on floor vs. Stanford ... Utah has lost two All-Americans for the season to injury: Junior five-time All-American and 2012 Pac-12 all-around champion Lothrop ruptured her Achilles in the fourth meet of the season. Missing the entire season due to knee surgery is sophomore vault All-American Kailah Delaney.


Utah jumped one spot in the national rankings to No. 7 this week after its 197.125 road score at BYU improved the team's regional qualifying score (RQS) to a 196.740. Sophomore Tory Wilson leads the nation on vault (9.955 RQS). Also in the top 10 are sophomore Becky Tutka on floor (sixth, 9.910) and sophomore Georgia Dabritz on bars (eighth, 9.895) and vault (eighth tie, 9.905). See page 3 for complete rankings.


The highest road score since 2009 propelled the visiting Utah gymnasts to a 197.125-195.500 victory over Brigham Young, with North Carolina State finishing third at 194.675. Utah swept the individual honors, led by three wins from Tory Wilson in the all-around (39.450) and on vault (9.95) and beam (tie, 9.875). Tying with Wilson for top honors on beam was Mary Beth Lofgren. Georgia Dabritz captured the bars (9.9) and Becky Tutka the floor (9.925).

Georgia is looking for its first win over the Utes since the 2009 NCAA Championships (the Gym Dogs placed first, Utah finished third) ... Georgia leads 9-3 in Athens, although Utah won the most recent contest in Stegeman Coliseum, 195.900-195.800 in 2011.

Coach Danna Durante is in her second season as a head coach and her first at Georgia. She coached at California last year, meeting the Utes in the Pac-12 Championship. She also held assistantships at Washington (1998-2002) and Nebraska (2006-11) ... team is ranked No. 3 in the nation on bars and has the No. 1 and 5 ranked bar workers in Chelsea Davis (9.935 RQS) and Brittany Rogers (9.905) ... Gym Dogs rarely use an all-arounder, with just three all-around performances all season.
