Senior gymnast Kyndal Robarts has won the Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week award for the second-straight week for her role in Utah's win over defending conference champion Oregon State last Friday.
Robarts tied the career high on vault that she set the week before in Utah's win against Stanford, scoring a 9.975 against OSU to win her second-straight vault title. She helped Utah to its best score of the season on the vault, a 49.425. Robarts, who competed on three events, proved a stabilizing force for her young teammates. Pressured after a teammate fell on the balance beam, she scored a 9.775 as Utah's anchor to ensure the fall would not count toward the team score. Robarts also scored a 9.85 on the floor.
Utah gymnasts have now collected four Pac-12 weekly awards. Cortni Beers was honored for the Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week on Jan. 30, Corrie Lothrop was named the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week on Feb. 7 and Robarts received the Pac-12 Special Performance of the Week award on Feb. 28 and Mar. 6.
