The Utah gymnastics team, which at last month's NCAA Championships qualified into the Super Six for a record 18th time, also turned in an award-winning performance in the classroom. The team recorded a 3.724 team grade point average spring semester with 11 gymnasts named to the Dean's List (3.5 or better GPA) and 14 named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (3.0 and above).

Sophomores Lia Del Priore and Mary Beth Lofgren received a 4.0 GPA for the spring term, while senior Stephanie McAllister--the 2012 Pac-12 Gymnastics Scholar-Athlete of the Year--and sophomore Hailee Hansen both had a 3.925.

Members of the Dean's List included Del Priore (4.0), Lofgren (4.0), McAllister (3.925), Hansen (3.925), Becky Tutka (3.838), Georgia Dabritz (3.769), Kailah Delaney (3.769), Corrie Lothrop (3.769), Tory Wilson (3.769), Cortni Beers (3.631) and Nansy Damianova (3.538).

 

 

Five of the above previously earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors led by first-team selections Beers, Hansen and McAllister. Lofgren was named to the second team, while Lothrop earned honorable mention recognition.
