Utah Soccer Announces Spring Exhibition Schedule

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah soccer team will play a seven-game exhibition schedule this spring that will include four games at Ute Field, the team announced this week. Admission to all spring home games is free of charge.

"Preparing for our 2014 season starts in January," head coach Rich Manning said. "Our team has been working hard on conditioning, getting the right mindset, improving soccer skills and teamwork. We've got a few more weeks of prep and then we look forward to some games We've got some home dates as well as some local games. We hope to see our supporters out there to check us out and cheer us on!"

The Utes will kick off their spring training season with a 7 p.m. home game against Utah State on March 28, then follow that with another 7 p.m. contest against Utah Valley on March 29.

April 5 will be a full day of soccer at Ute Field with action starting at 10 a.m. when Utah hosts Weber State. Wyoming vs. Utah Valley will follow and after Westminster battles Southern Utah, the Utes will be back on the field to play Wyoming at 3:15. SUU and UVU close the day's festivities with a game at 5 p.m.

The following weekend, the team takes the drive to Provo for a doubleheader. Utah plays Utah Valley on the practice field at noon before taking on the Cougars at 4 p.m. on South Field. 

The spring season closes on April 19 when the Utes travel to Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction to play Denver at 10 a.m.
