Utah (11-4-0, 4-0-0), ranked No. 11 in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll, begins the final stretch of its Mountain West Conference schedule. The Utes host TCU (5-7-3, 0-2-2) on Friday at 7:30 p.m. (MDT) at Ute Field, then play San Diego State (6-7-2, 2-0-2) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. (PDT) at the SDSU Sports Deck in San Diego, Calif.

The Utes are 11-4-0 overall and in sole possession of first place in the Mountain West Conference with a 4-0-0 record. They have won seven in a row with the last six wins coming via a shutout. Utah's current winning streak equals the longest in school history, tying a run set during the 2003 season. Utah won a pair of games on the road last weekend, defeating Air Force 2-0 on Wednesday and New Mexico 3-0 on Sunday.
Adele Letro (F, 5-8, So.) leads the Utes in points (17) with a team-high seven goals and three assists. Amanda Feigt (F, 5-11, Sr.) is second in points (11) with a team-best five assists and three goals. Jen Christoffers (F, 5-3, So.) and Hailey Marsh (F, 5-8, Sr.) are tied for third in points (6). Christoffers has three goals, while Marsh has two goals and two assists. Goalkeeper Ashley Mason (5-9, Sr.) has a 0.94 goals against average with 50 saves and 13 goals allowed. She also has 4.2 shutouts.
Utah has more shots (192-143) and more goals (23-13) than its opponents this season, but has a deficit of 59-48 in corner kicks. The Utes have a 0.86 goals against average while their opponents have a 1.52 mark.
In The Rankings
The Utes moved up two spots to No. 11 in the NSCAA/adidas Top 25 poll. This is the highest ranking Utah has ever had in the NSCAA poll. Utah is ranked for the fourth consecutive week and the sixth time in the last seven weeks. The Utes remained fourth in the NSCAA West Region rankings.
Utah moved up three spots to No. 13 in the Soccer America poll. The Utes are in the poll for the third consecutive week.
The Utes moved up 10 spots to No. 15 in the Soccer Buzz Top 30 poll, and are ranked for the second consecutive week. Utah is ranked fourth in the West Region rankings, moving up three spots from last week.
Utah is in the Soccer Times Top 25 poll for the second consecutive week, coming in tied for 18th.
The Horned Frogs are 5-7-3 overall and tied for sixth place in the Mountain West Conference with a 0-2-2 record. TCU tied Wyoming 1-1 at home on Friday and lost to 2-1 at UNLV on Sunday.
Lizzy Karoly (F, 5-4, Fr.) leads the team in points (14) with six goals and two assists. Michelle Nguyen (M, 5-4, Fr.) and Lauren Pope (M, 5-3, Jr.) are tied for second in points (9). Nguyen has three goals and three assists, while Pope has four goals and an assist. Katy Buchanan (GK, 5-8, Sr.) has a 1.42 goals against average in 14 games this season. She has allowed 17 goals and made 56 saves. Head coach Dan Abdalla is 11-18-3 in his second year at TCU and has a 65-56-11 career record in seven years.
The Series With The Horned Frogs
Utah is tied 1-1-0 with TCU in the all-time series and has a 1-0-0 mark in games played in Salt Lake City. Last season, the Utes defeated the Horned Frogs 1-0 on Oct. 6 at Ute Field.
Scouting San Diego State
The Aztecs are 6-7-2 overall and in second place in the Mountain West Conference with a 2-0-2 mark. Last weekend, San Diego State tied BYU 2-2 on Thursday in Provo, Utah and defeated Wyoming 2-0 on Oct. 15 in Laramie, Wyo.
Jen Mello (F, 5-4, So). leads the Aztecs in points (19), scoring a conference-best eight goals and getting three assists. Erika Sutton (F/M, 5-3, So.) is second on the team in points (11) with three goals and a team-best five assists. Heather Vandevanter (F, 5-9, Fr.) has three goals and three assists. Cat Burton (GK, 5-7, Jr.) has a 1.35 goals against average in 14 games. She has allowed 19 goals and made 74 saves. Head coach Michael Giuliano has a 25-23-10 record in three seasons at San Diego State and a 219-65-25 career record in 14 years.
The Series With The Aztecs
Utah leads the all-time series with San Diego State 8-3-2 and has a 4-1-0 mark on the road. Last season, the Utes defeated the Aztecs 2-1 on Oct. 20 in San Diego, Calif.
Utah closes out the regular season against Wyoming on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Ute Field. The Utes host the Mountain West Conference Tournament, Nov. 1-4.
