Utah soccer (8-3-6, 4-2-2) makes its final road trip of the season when it travels to take on Arizona at 3 p.m. on Friday and Arizona State at noon on Sunday. The Utes are currently fighting for a NCAA berth and sit third in the Pac-12 with three games remaining. Both games will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

Utah Stays Unblemished at Home
Utah soccer kept its unbeaten mark at home this season intact with a 1-1 draw against No. 2 UCLA on Friday and a 1-0 victory over USC on Sunday.

The Utes received an early goal on Friday from Ashton Hall, her third of the season, and played the second-ranked Bruins evenly. Hall’s goal marked the first time all season that the Bruins had fallen behind in league play. In fact, UCLA had only trailed for 15 minutes the entire year entering the match and led the nation with a 0.32 goals against average.

Utah got the game-winner on Sunday from Allie Wisner in the 76th minute and topped the visiting Trojans. The senior followed up a rebound off a Hall shot for her fourth goal of the season and second game-winner.

Utah now has an 11-match unbeaten streak at Ute Field which started last season with a 3-1 victory over Oregon. Since then, Utah is 7-0-4 while out-scoring its opponents 23-7 and posting six shutouts. Since joining the Pac-12, Utah is 20-4-4 at home.

Utes Ranked No. 30 Nationally
Utah is currently receiving votes in the latest NSCAA National Poll, ranking 30th overall. The last time Utah was ranked in the final NSCAA Poll was in 2006 when the Utes finished 23rd in the country. Utah is also currently No. 25 in the latest Soccer America National Poll, jumping into the rankings this week.

In Monday’s NSCAA regional rankings, the Utes were pegged at No. 4 in the Pacific Region, their highest mark of the season. Utah ranks 37th in the latest RPI and is one of eight Pac-12 schools to be ranked in the top 60.

Luke Named Pac-12 Player of the Week
Utah goalkeeper Lindsey Luke was named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Utes keep their unbeaten home mark intact this past weekend in a 1-1 draw against No. 2 UCLA and a 1-0 win over USC.

Luke matched the single-season shutout mark set by Ashley Mason in 2003 with her eighth blanking of the season against the Trojans on Sunday. The redshirt sophomore also made eight saves in a tie against the second-ranked Bruins.

Luke has allowed only seven goals in 1283:53 minutes of action this season for a goals-against average of 0.49, 12th in the nation. Her save percentage (.909) ranks fourth nationally and she leads the league in saves (70) and saves per game (5.4).
