This Week's Action ...
The University of Utah women's soccer team (9-9-1, 5-5-0 Pac-12) wraps up the regular season Friday with a 7 p.m. MT contest against Colorado (4-12-2, 1-8-1 Pac-12). It will be Senior Night at Ute Field, as Erin Dalley, Lauren Dudley, Lauren Porter and Hannah Turpen make their final regular-season appearances in the Crimson and White. See Page 3 for a career review of these four seniors.

Utes Home Win Streak Snapped at Seven ...
The Utes ran their home win streak to seven matches Friday with a 3-0 victory against USC. The unbeaten run at Ute Field was ended Sunday in overtime by No. 6 UCLA, 1-0.

Taylor Becomes 11th Ute to Score This Season ...
Scoring her first career goal against USC Friday night, freshman forward Katie Taylor became the 11th different Ute have hit the back of the net this season, and the eighth player to tally her first career goal.

Seven Different Utes Have Tallied Game Winners ...
Taylor became the seventh different Ute to net the game-winning goal in Utah's nine victories this year. Dalley has three of them, followed by six different Utes with one apiece.

Four of those game winners also accounted for the first career goal for those players, including Taylor, Leslie Muirhead (vs. Idaho State), Avery Ford (vs. Weber State) and McKel Wall (vs. UC Riverside). The other winners came from Harley Spier (at Oregon) and Dudley (vs. Arizona State).

With the strikes from Taylor, Ford and Wall, Utah has had three or more freshman secure game-winning goals in the same season for the first time since Jen Christoffers, Adele Letro and Katy Reineke did so in 2005.

Utes Strive for Top-Half Finish in Inaugural Pac-12 Campaign ...
After being selected to finish 11th out of 12 teams in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll, Utah could finish as high as fifth and no lower than seventh, based on the outcome of this Friday's conference games. With a win over Colorado and a California loss, the Utes would move up to the No. 5 spot in the league table with 18 points. Should California tie or win, Utah would place sixth. A Ute loss would leave them seventh, still far-exceeding their preseason prognostication. Stanford, the coaches' selection to win the league, has locked up the championship in a runaway, heading into Friday with a perfect 10-0 record.

Scouting this Weekend's Opposition ...
Colorado Buffaloes
The Buffs have lost three consecutive games coming into Friday, including an 8-0 shutout at the hands of UCLA and a 1-0 shutout loss to USC last weekend.

The Colorado offense is led by Anne Stuller and Kate Russell, who each have nine goals and one assist to their credit. Amy Barczuk and Hayley Hughes each have three, while five other players have scored as well. Caroline Danneberg is the only Buffalo with multiple assists (2).

The All-Time Series ...
Utah is 1-6 all-time against Colorado, including a 1-1 mark at Ute Field. Since beating Colorado 1-0 in 1998, the Utes have dropped six straight to the Buffaloes. Their last meeting was in 2009, when then-No. 20 Colorado beat the Utes by a 2-1 score in Boulder.

Utes Ranked No. 8 in Pacific Region ...
According to last week's NSCAA Regional Rankings, the Utes check in at No. 8 in the Pacific Region. Five of the seven teams above them are Pac-12 foes. The updated poll will be released Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Freshmen Account for More Than One Third of Utah's Points ...
Six of the seven Utah freshmen who have seen the field this year have tallied points while all seven have cracked the starting lineup at least once. Forward Jill Robison, Ford, Taylor and Wall have all scored goals, while Ford, Robison, Taylor, midfielder Ashton Hall and defender Sarah Duncan have each logged at least one assist. In total, freshmen have racked up five goals and 13 assists for 23 of Utah's 60 total points. Taylor and Wall are tied for the team lead in assists with three each.

Local Impact ...
At least six of the Utes' starting 11 in 18 of the Utes' 19 games have hailed from the state of Utah. Of Utah's 21 goals on the season, 16 of them have been registered by natives of the Beehive State. The Utes carry 14 players from Utah on the roster and 11 of them have made starts this year.
