Utah Softball Drops Game To Texas, 13-6

HONOLULU, Hawaii--The University of Utah softball team dropped its fourth game of the Hawaii Invitational, as it fell to Texas 13-6 on Saturday morning. Utah (7-19) will face Nittaidai in an exhibition game on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to conclude the tournament.

Samantha Schroeder picks up the loss for Utah to fall to 2-5 on the season. Schroeder gave up three runs off five hits in two innings of work. The Utes ended up using all four of their pitchers in the contest. Melissa Oakes was the only hurler to not allow more than one earned run in the game.

At the plate, Glennis Donnelly was 3-of-3 on the day. The senior connected for a home run and two singles. Sophomore Sarah Lyman ripped an RBI double and scored a run. Melissa Stahnke drove in two runs, while Kate Nygaard drove in one.
