SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah softball team closes out an action-packed six-game week this weekend with a three-game Pac-12 Conference set against No. 15/T-15 UCLA. A doubleheader will kick off the series on Saturday a 1 p.m. MT before Sunday's finale at 12 p.m. MT.
The Utes were swept in a mid-week series at No. 10/9 Oregon on Tuesday and Wednesday that left Utah's overall record at 14-19-1 and 1-8 in Pac-12 play.
Power of Pink: Saturday will be the annual Power of Pink game! Join the team in wearing PINK to promote Cancer Awareness! Get to the game early for pink give-a-ways supporting community-wide cancer awareness. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Kathy Howa by Swing for Life. Admission is always free.

Oregon Series Review: Utah suffered three losses at No. 10/9 Oregon on Tuesday and Wednesday. The Utes dropped a doubleheader by 11-3 and 11-1 scores, both in six innings, on Tuesday. Oregon took the series finale by a 5-2 score on Wednesday.
How Sweet It Is: Utah's senior second baseman Jackie Sweet (Corona, Calif.) is hitting .500 during her current 10-game hit streak, which is Utah's longest this season.
Sweet has gone 16-for-32 at the plate with only one strikeout and six extra-base hits, including her first three home runs of 2013. She also drove in a team-best eight runs and drew three walks to increase her on-base percentage to .543. She has seven games this season with two or more hits and boasts four games with at least two RBI this season.
Sweet cracked a leadoff single to left field in the fourth inning of game one on Tuesday at Oregon and then proceeded to go 3-for-3 in the day's finale against the Ducks, including a run-scoring double to left-center field in the first inning and laced another double to right-center field in the sixth.
Sweet went 2-for-4 at the plate in the last game of the Oregon series, including her third homer of the season. She also has now has 55 career RBI and 15 this season. Sweet has driven in 55 runs for her career. She now has 32 career extra-base hits (18 doubles, 13 home runs and one triple).
Back-to-Back Jacks: Utah's two runs on Wednesday at Oregon came via the long ball as Chalese Fankhauser (South Jordan, Utah) and Sweet connected on back-to-back solo home runs.
