Utah takes on UVU in a twin bill on Monday, Apr. 14. Action at Wolverine Field starts at 2 p.m. MT with the second game beginning approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

The Stanford series at Utah Softball Stadium begins Thursday, Apr. 17 at 3 p.m. MT. The middle game of the set will be played Friday, Apr. 18 at 3 p.m. MT, followed by the series finale on Saturday, Apr. 19 at 12 p.m. MT.

The Utes are 16-19 overall and picked up a non-conference doubleheader sweep over Weber State on Apr. 12 in Ogden.

Utah carries a 3-11 mark in Pac-12 play this season, but is on a three-game slide after being swept at No. 6 Arizona State last weekend in Tempe.

Utah Valley is 12-26 overall and the Wolverines have lost four of its last five, while Stanford holds a 25-15 record and the Cardinal are 2-10 in Pac-12 play.

Buggin' Out: Junior right-fielder Marissa Mendenhall (Stansbury Park, Utah), nicknamed `Bug', hit for a team-high .444 average at the plate in five games last week at Weber State and No. 6 Arizona State for the Utes with eight hits in 18 at-bats and six RBI to go with three runs.

Mendenhall turned in four hits during 10 official at-bats with four RBI and a pair of home runs during the Arizona State series from Apr. 10-12. She was 2-for-4 at the plate with one driven in during both games of the doubleheader on Apr. 8 at Weber State.

Mendenhall hit a three-run homer in the series finale at Arizona State on Apr. 12 and came up with her seventh multi-hit effort of 2014 after going 2-of-4 in the middle game of the series on Apr. 11. In the series opener on Apr. 10, Mendenhall connected on a solo home run to center field in the seventh.

Mendenhall now has 19 RBI this season after connecting on a three-run homer and has hit in six consecutive games. The Stansbury Park, Utah native is second on the squad with four home runs this season with two coming in the Arizona State series.

Mariah on the Mound: Junior Mariah Ramirez (Hawaiian Gardens, Calif.) limited opposing hitters to a .333 batting average with a 1.40 ERA after throwing 10.0 innings and appearing in three appearances last week. She only allowed two earned runs on 12 hits with four strikeouts and four walks. Ramirez came on in relief during the first game of the Weber State doubleheader on Apr. 8 as she pitched 3.0 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out one and walking one. Ramirez threw 3.0 shutout innings in relief in the series opener at Arizona State on Apr. 10, yielding only one hit to the Sun Devils, while striking out one.
