Jackie Sweet and sophomore left fielder Kate Dickman were named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Second team, the league office announced Wednesday. Senior shortstop Kelsi Hoopiiaina, junior center fielder Chalese Fankhauser and freshman pitcher Kayce Nieto received honorable mention. Nieto was also placed on the All-Freshman Team, while catcher Shelby Pacheco and third baseman Kristen Stewart earned Honorable Mention All-Freshman Team selections.
Jackie Sweet All-Pac-12 Second Team
Sr. 2B Corona, Calif.
Sweet was named to the second team after tying for third in the Pac-12 with 10 double plays turned during conference games, ranked sixth with a .389 batting average, tied for sixth with 28 hits and tied for eighth with 18 runs scored. She became Utah's first-ever Pac-12 Player of the Week on Apr. 8 after hitting .550 with two doubles, a triple and a home run for a .900 slugging percentage six games at No. 9 Oregon and at home against No. 15 UCLA. In the overall stats, Sweet was second in the Pac-12 with 21 double plays turned. The Corona, Calif., native put together a 15-game hit streak from Mar. 22 through Apr. 10 and a 24-game reached base streak from Apr. 10 through Apr. 24. Sweet scored four times at Utah State, which tied the school-record mark. She was 2-for-4 with an RBI double and run during Utah's win over No. 2 Arizona St. on Apr. 19 after going 6-for-8 with two home runs and a double for six RBI in the final two games of the series against No. 17 Arizona.
Kate Dickman All-Pac-12 Second Team

Dickman picked up second-team honors after leading the Pac-12 with 15 doubles and tied for fourth in triples. In the league-only stats, Dickman tied for first with three triples, ranked fifth in RBI (24), tied for fifth in total bases (51) and was sixth in slugging (.708) in Pac-12 during conference games. The Mission Viejo, Calif., native boasted a team-high 16-game hit streak from Apr. 2 through Apr. 26. She drove in seven runs during Utah's 11-2 win at Oregon State on Apr. 13, which was a Pac-12 single-game high in league play, during a 3-for-4 outing against the Beavers that included two home runs. Dickman then hit two home runs and two triples for six RBI during a doubleheader against No. 15 UCLA on Apr. 6. She was 2-for-3 with four RBI in game one against the Bruins then went 2-for-2 with two RBI in the second contest. Dickman drove in four runs, including a two-run homer, in the final two games of Utah's series vs. No. 12 Washington.
Kelsi Hoopiiaina All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention

Hoopiiaina gained Honorable Mention recognition after leading the Pac-12 with 165 assists from her shortstop position this season and tied for second in doubles (13), was third in double plays (20), tied for fourth in triples (4) and finished seventh in sacrifice bunts (9). She led the Pac-12 with eight sacrifice bunts in league play. Her seven assists against No. 15 UCLA on Apr. 7 is tied for the Pac-12 high in league games. `Hoop' started all 217 games at shortstop for the Utes during her career, including all 55 this season. The Riverton, Utah native was 3-for-4 with four RBI against No. 12 Washington on May 4. She was 2-for-3 with a home run and double versus No. 17 Arizona on Mar. 28. Hoopiiaina came through with a two-run homer in Utah's 11-2 win at Oregon State on Apr. 13 and hit an RBI triple against No. 15 UCLA on Apr. 7.
Chalese Fankhauser All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention

Also garnering an Honorable Mention nod, Fankhauser tied for the Pac-12 lead in triples with three during conference play. She was 7-for-12 with two RBI, two triples, and a doubles during series vs. No. 17 Arizona. The South Jordan, Utah native also hit a two-run homer during Utah's win over No. 15 UCLA on Apr. 6. `Cheese' was 2-for-4 with a home run at No. 9 Oregon on Apr. 3, before going 2-for-4 with an RBI double at Oregon State on Apr. 13. She also was 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple vs. No. 12 Washington on May 5 and started all 55 games in center field, while posting 15 multi-hit games and stealing a team-high seven bases.
Kayce Nieto All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention and All-Pac-12 Freshman Team
Fr. P Farmington Hills, Mich.
Nieto was selected to both the Honorable Mention and All-Freshman squads after posting a flawless 4-0 record against Pac-12 opponents at home during her debut season for the Utes. She put together a 4.55 ERA in 32.1 innings during eight appearances with a pair of complete games. She allowed only one earned run on four hits in 7.0 innings and only issued one walk against No. 17 Arizona on Mar. 30 for the Utes' first-ever victory at Utah Softball Stadium. The Farmington Hills, Mich., native threw 5.0 solid innings in the second game of a doubleheader against No. 15 UCLA on Apr. 6, yielding three earned runs to the Bruins on eight hits with two walks and strikeout. She then helped the pick up their first-ever Pac-12 series in the finale against UCLA as she allowed three earned runs while scattering six hits and striking out one with a pair of walks on Apr. 7. Then in Utah's 6-5 win over No. 2 Arizona State, Nieto allowed four earned runs on eight hits in 5.0 innings of work, while walking two Sun Devils.
Shelby Pacheco All-Pac-12 Freshman Honorable Mention

Pacheco claimed Honorable Mention All-Freshman accolades after driving in nine runs in conference play with four doubles and a triple, while starting 49 games behind the plate for the Utes during her debut season with the Utes. The Casa Granda, Ariz., native had six games with two or more hits and also had four games with two or more RBI. She laced a walk-off double to left-center field to give the Utes a 5-4 win over No. 2 Arizona State on Apr. 19. She then doubled and drove in one more run in the series finale against the Sun Devils on Apr. 21. In the Apr. 7 victory over UCLA, Pacheco led the way with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate with four RBI off a double and a triple against the Bruins.
Kristen Stewart All-Pac-12 Freshman Honorable Mention
Fr. 3B Covina, Calif.
Stewart earned an Honorable Mention spot on the All-Freshman team after hitting .393 at home against Pac-12 opponents with a .571 slugging percentage on three extra-base hits (two doubles and one home run), while posting a .514 on-base percentage thanks to four walks. For the season, Stewart had six multi-hit efforts to go with four multi-RBI outings. The Covina, Calif., native took team-high honors with three RBI during the Apr. 21 doubleheader against No. 2 Arizona State, including her fourth home run of the year, which gave her a 1.250 slugging percentage in the twin bill against the Sun Devils. In the first game of an Apr. 6 doubleheader against No. 15 UCLA, Stewart had a 2-for-3 day at the plate on a pair of singles up the middle of the Bruin defense. She then cracked a season-high three hits in four at-bats against No. 12 Washington.
