SALT LAKE CITY--Utah seniors Melissa Stahnke and Glennis Donnelly have been named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches' Association Division I All-West Region Team. Stahnke, who is being honored for the second time in her career, was named to the first team, while Donnelly garnered second team honors. Twelve athletes were named to the first team, while 17 received second team honors. For a complete list of the all-region teams, please go to the NFCA's website.

Stahnke led the Utes this season with two triples and a .395 on base percentage. She posted a .327 batting average with seven doubles, five home runs and 20 RBI. The Ridgefield, Wash., native also drew 17 walks and posted a .924 fielding percentage at third base. She was named to both the all-Mountain West Conference and academic all-district VIII teams for the third time in her career. The senior ranks as Utah's career home run leader with 49, and is second in RBI with 162 and fifth in doubles with 40. She was named to the all-West region second team in 2002.

Donnelly, who is in her second season with Utah after transferring from St. Louis CC, led Utah with a .362 average, 17 doubles, 19 home runs, 50 RBI and a .780 slugging percentage. Her home run, double and RBI totals have ranked among the leaders in the NCAA all season. The 17 doubles is currently tied for first in the Ute single season record books. She was also named to the all-MWC team for the second season in a row.
