SALT LAKE CITY -- University of Utah softball student-athletes set a new team record by combining for a 3.285 grade-point-average during the 2014 spring term.
Fourteen members of the Utah softball roster were named to the Athletic Director's Honor Roll, which requires a 3.0 or above.
Six Utes were named to the Dean's List with a least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
The entire University of Utah athletic department earned a combined 3.129 grade-point-average for the 2014 spring term, marking a school-record 16th-consecutive semester the Utes have achieved a total GPA above a 3.0.
Over 60-percent of Utah's student-athletes (262 of 406) were on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and almost a third of them--128 total--qualified for the Dean's List, which requires at least a 3.5 GPA.
