Utah's women's tennis team defeated Kansas State 5-4 in a hard fought match held in Manhattan, Kans.
The match came down to the final doubles contest, with the Ute tandem of Megan Payne and Molly Sanderson facing the Kansas State's duo of Eva Novotna' and Natalie Farmer. Novotna' and Farmer were up 5-0 in the contest before falling in eight straight game's to ensure Utah match and the team win.
The match also included four singles matches that lasted three sets. Linda Engblom, Angie Olson and Rebecca Rushforth were victorious for the Utes in singles. In doubles, Olson and Rushforth won at the No. 3 position to add to Payne and Sanderson's victory.
The win lifts Utah's overall record to 6-4.
