Utah Will Host Boise State

Utah (7-4) hosts No. 63 ranked Boise State on Sun., March 8 at 2:30 p.m in a crucial Central Region matchup. About the Utes: The Utes won their fifth straight dual match by downing Weber State 8-1. Utah swept the singles portion of the match with Anna Svedenhov, Linda Engblom, Megan Payne, Angie Olson, Rebecca Rushforth and Heidi Thomas. In doubles, Weber's State's duo of Loni Kuhn and Mette Damsgaard gave the Wildcats their only team point as they downed the Ute tandem of Thomas and Engblom. The Ute's Olson and Rushforth teamed to win from the No. 1 spot and Molly Sanderson and Payne combined to win at the No. 2 position to complete the victory. The win raises Utah's overall record to 7-4. Utah in the ITA Rankings: In the February version of the ITA rankings, Anna Svedenhov moved to No. 40 nationally in singles. Svedenhov also teamed with Engblom to jump into the doubles rankings at No. 30. Utah remains No. 64, as new team rankings are not due out until Tues., March 10. Looking Ahead: Utahs home stand continues for another two dual matches. The Utes take on No. 48 North Carolina on Wed., March 11 at 2:30 p.m. Utah then faces No. 19 South Carolina on Sun., March 22 at 11:00 a.m.
