THIS WEEK: The University of Utah women's tennis team plays host to the University of Hawaii this Saturday, April 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the Eccles Tennis Center.

REVIEWING LAST WEEK: Utah started into the conference season last week with a bang. The Utes beat Wyoming (5-2) and Colorado State (4-3) at home.

Freshman Liz Ferris went undefeated in singles and doubles over the weekend with victories over Patricia Chien (6-0, 7-5) and Anne Andersen (6-3, 7-6(6)).

The women's tennis team improved to 11-7 on the season and 2-1 in the Mountain West.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: The University of Hawaii is part of the Western Athletic Conference. Lead by Head Coach Carolyn Katayama, the Rainbow Wahine are 5-11 on the season. Senior Lauren Fitzgerald is ranked No. 86 in the ITA singles rankings.

QUOTING HEAD COACH Megan Dorny: "We are playing Hawaii this Saturday.Having not played this school in recent history and not knowing much about them, we are working hard to prepare our team generally. We are looking for doubles improvement, specifically, as we lost the point in the CSU match. As a team, we are looking to come together Saturday and execute in doubles and singles."
