SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah's women's tennis team opens the fall season Thursday at the BYU Invitational in Provo, Utah. Play begins at approximately 10 a.m. MT at the BYU Tennis Complex, and runs through Saturday, September 19.
Poised to make their Utah debut are sophomore transfer Missy Harris and freshman Paige Miles. Returning seniors Erin Monson and Andrea Maughan, junior Evgenia Kryuchkova and sophomores Anastasia Putilina, Lexi Provancha, Lisa Johnson and Julie Tukuafu, are all schedule to be in action this weekend as well.
Last year, Johnson captured the flight B singles title at this event, while the duo of Monson and Putilina made it to the doubles final before falling to a team from Boise State.
BYU, Utah State and BSU are a few of the teams that Utah will compete against at this year's event.
