Utes Take Air Out of Falcons

Utah Volleyball Sweeps Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Utah took care of another Western Athletic Conference opponent in easy fashion on Saturday night, sweeping Air Force 15-4, 15-12, 15-8 at Clune Arena.

Middle blocker Stacie Greenwalt was a terror at the net with a match-high 13 kills and a .522 hitting percentage. Brenda Barton- Whicker and Jen Snow each had 12 kills each. Barton-Whicker had a match-high 14 digs and hit .290. Snow hit .391 and posted 13 digs.

Brooke Effland had 12 kills to lead Air Force. The Utes outhit the Falcons .325 to .118.

Utah, which has won 13 of its last 14 matches, improves to 14- 4 overall and 5-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Four of the Utes' WAC wins have come in three games. Air Force falls to 5-15 and 0-4.
