SALT LAKE CITY - After advancing to the second round of last season's NCAA Tournament, the University of Utah volleyball program will appear in 14 matches during the 2014 campaign that will be televised live on the Pac-12 Networks, the conference office announced Monday.

At least six Utah volleyball home matches will be held in Crimson Court due to renovation of the Huntsman Center. The home weekend series against Arizona (Fri., Oct. 3) and Arizona State (Sun., Oct. 5) may be played in either Crimson Court or the Jon M. Huntsman Center, based on completion of the JHC renovation.

"We are excited to be on television 14 times during the 2014 season," Utah Head Coach Beth Launiere said. "The commitment by the Pac-12 Conference and Pac-12 Networks to Pac-12 women's volleyball is unprecedented," Launiere said.

"The renovations to the Huntsman Center will be great in the long run, even though there will be some inconvenience at the beginning of the season. While we absolutely love the Huntsman Center as our regular venue now, we certainly don't mind playing in Crimson Court as it has been a great home to us for many years."

The Pac-12 Networks will broadcast a total of 99 women's volleyball matches throughout the regular season.

Seventeen of Utah's 31 regular-season matches will be against 10 teams that qualified for the NCAA Tournament last season, including Final Four qualifier Washington.

In what many consider the best collegiate volleyball conference in the country, the Pac-12, the Utes will play six matches against three teams who advanced to the Elite Eight last season (Washington (twice), USC (twice) and Stanford (twice)).

A Deseret First Duel match at BYU on Fri., Sept. 19 will close the Utes' non-conference schedule before Utah's Pac-12 opener at Colorado on Thur., Sept. 25, which will be the first televised match for the Utes in 2014.

Utah's lineup of televised home matches starts against Arizona (Fri., Oct. 3) and Arizona State (Sun., Oct. 5) before continuing against California (Fri., Oct. 17), Stanford (Oct. 19), USC (Fri., Nov. 7), UCLA (Sun., Nov. 9), Washington State (Thur., Nov. 13) and Colorado (Fri., Nov. 28).

Six of Utah's road matches will also be live on Pac-12 Networks, including at Colorado (Thur., Sept. 25) and continuing at USC (Sat., Oct. 11), Washington (Fri., Oct. 24), Washington State (Sun., Oct. 26), Stanford (Fri., Nov. 21) and California (Sun., Nov. 23).

The Utes' 2014 non-conference campaign begins with the annual Utah Classic Fri.-Sat., Aug. 29-30 in Crimson Court with matches against Montana State (Fri., Aug. 29) before taking on Missouri State (Sat., Aug. 30) and 2013 NCAA Tournament qualifier New Mexico State (Sat., Aug. 30).

"The 2014 Utah Classic will be tough competition to start the season," Launiere said. "It will be a great way to prepare us for other preseason matches and the Pac-12."

Utah hosts Utah Valley on Tue., Sept. 9 in Crimson Court before heading to Moraga, Calif., to take on Cal Poly and St. Mary's in a doubleheader on Sat., Sept. 6. The Utes' final non-conference tournament will be the Lipscomb Invitational in Nashville with matches against East Tennessee State (Fri., Sept. 12) and Georgia Tech and Lipscomb (Sat., Sept. 13).

The Utes will also face Utah State on Wed., Sept. 17 in Logan.
