Utah will have four regular-season games televised in 2007.

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's volleyball team will have at least four regular-season games televised in 2007, the Mountain West Conference announced today.
The Utes will have matches against UCLA, Florida, Colorado State and BYU air on either the mtn. or CSTV this season. In addition, seven matches of the MWC Tournament will be televised. In all, the MWC will have 18 volleyball matches on television this season.
"It's great that we have so many opportunities to showcase the sport of volleyball," head coach Beth Launiere said. "It's a tribute to the strength of the Mountain West Conference and the fan support that volleyball is gaining. We look forward to the chance to play some of the nation's top teams on television."
Utah opens the season against UCLA in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Showcase on CSTV at 5 p.m. MT on Friday, Aug. 24. The match will re-air on the mtn. on Monday, Aug. 27 at 8 p.m. MT.
Home matches against Florida (Sept. 9) and Colorado State (Sept. 21) will air on CSTV and the mtn., respectively. The Florida match will air on tape delay on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6 p.m. MT and will re-air on the mtn. on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 8 p.m. MT. The match against Colorado State on the mtn. will be shown live.
Utah also faces BYU on Friday, Nov. 9, on the mtn. The match will air via same-day tape delay at 8 p.m. MT.
Additional re-airings of matches will be announced at a later date.
The Utes, ranked 21st in the CSTV/AVCA Preseason Coaches Poll, went 28-4 overall and 16-0 in MWC regular season action in 2006, reaching the second round of the NCAA Championship and setting school records with 28 wins and a 25-match winning streak. The Utes return AVCA third-team All-American Whitney Webb, as well as four other starters from the 2006 squad.
