Utah Remains Bold on the Block: Utah is fourth in the NCAA's latest statistical rankings and second in the Pac-12 with a 3.14 block-per-set average as a team. The Utes are 8-3 this season when outblocking their opponents.

Efficiency Still Key: Before the Sept. 21 match against No. 6 Stanford, the Utes won all nine previous contests this season in which they post a higher hitting percentage than their opponents.

Conversely, Utah is 0-6 in 2012 when getting outhit by its opponents.

Defense Wins Matches: The Utes are 6-1 this season when holding their opponents under a .200 hitting percentage on the attack.

Utah also carries an unblemished 7-0 record this season when turning in more digs than its opposition.

Ravishing Redd: Junior middle blocker Erin Redd (Spanish Fork, Utah) has been Utah's most efficient attacker this season, posting a team-high .329 hitting percentage along with 2.30 kills and stands 10th in the Pac-12 with 0.32 aces per set. Redd turned in a match-high six blocks at Oregon, the fifth time this season she has led or tied for the team lead in blocking. She also led the Ute defense at the net on Sept. 21 against Stanford with a match-high nine blocks.

Morgan on the Attack: Junior outside hitter Morgan Odale (Star, Idaho) was second on the squad with seven kills at Oregon on Friday and had a match-high 17 kills and just missed her 18th career double-double as she posted nine digs against Stanford. This was her third straight double-figure-kill match and her eighth double-figure-kill performance and the 46th of her career.

For the season, Odale is eighth in the Pac-12 with 0.34 service aces per set this season and ranks second on the squad with 2.93 kills and 2.41 digs per set.
