The Utah volleyball team will entertain a pair of top-10 teams at Crimson Court this weekend.
The Utes continue Pac-12 Conference competition against No. 8 USC on Friday and No. 6 UCLA on Saturday. Both matches will start at 7 p.m. MT.
A live video stream of both contests with Dan Clayton providing the play-by-play call of the action will be available at utahutes.com.
After dropping back-to-back five-set heartbreakers last weekend, Friday at Washington State and Sunday at then-No. 8 Washington, the Utes are now 12-15 overall with a 3-11 mark in Pac-12 play.
Utes In the NCAA Blocking Ranks: Utah is seventh in the NCAA and second in the Pac-12's latest statistical rankings with a 3.04 block-per-set average as a team. Including league-games only, Utah is fourth with 2.97 blocks per set during Pac-12 matches. The Utes have outblocked their foes in 10 of their 12 victories this season and hold a 10-9 mark in that scenario in 2012.
Rising Red: Junior middle blocker Erin Redd (Spanish Fork, Utah) compiled a team-high .300 hitting percentage last week to go with 1.90 kills and 1.10 blocks per set.
Redd added six kills and four blocks on Sunday against then-No. 8 Washington. She had 13 kills with a .346 hitting percentage to go with a match-high-tying seven blocks Friday at Washington State.
Redd is sixth in the Pac-12 with a .352 hitting efficiency in league matches and ranks eighth with a .353 hitting percentage overall. She is also ninth in the rankings with 1.21 blocks per set in league play. In all matches this season, Redd has 2.26 kills, 1.15 blocks and 0.23 aces per set for the Utes.
Schofield Doubles Down: Sophomore outside hitter Chelsey Schofield (Provo, Utah) put together a double-double with 15 kills on a .270 efficiency to go with 13 digs Friday at Washington State. She turned in her second straight double-double with a match-high 18 kills on a .298 hitting percentage to go with a career-high 20 digs on Sunday at Washington.
More From Morgan: Junior outside hitter Morgan Odale (Star, Idaho) has 958 career kills and needs to average seven kills per match over the Utes' final six regular-season contests to become the 13th member of Utah's 1,000-kill club.
Bateman For the Block: Utah sophomore middle blocker Bailey Bateman (Hooper, Utah) is tied for second in the Pac-12 and 11th in the NCAA with 1.54 blocks per set this season and is second in the conference with 1.53 blocks per set in league matches.
With 145 block assists this season, Bateman is only two shy of tying Lori Baird (147 in 2008) for the 10th-highest single-season total in school history.
She owns 149 total blocks this season and needs to average 4.5 blocks per match to tie Sheila Cottrell-Sorensen (176 in 1985) and Linda Byington (176 in 1991) for 10th in the Utah single-season record book.
